This is my honest review of Wateen Wimax after using it for almost about 1 year.

When i first started using wateen wimax i was facing alot of problems but as the days past i was seeing major changes and improved quality of services but again as the days went by i started seeing poor services.

One thing that i might want to hand out is that Wateen CSR has improved but it still needs to go along way because most of people on the CSR are pretty dumb and lazy.

recently i switched to PTCL broadband and have seen great differences.

The reason i switched to PTCL was that wateen wimax was breaking connections / disconnecting alot making it a nightmare to download big files (100 MB) or more - and the fact that Wateen WiMAX is a capped service makes it even worse.

Like if i am downloading a file of 150 MB and the downloading stops at 120 MB (for example) because of the wateen connection keep breaking i lose 120 MB bandwidth and i was only given 5 GB per month, think about it - its a complete waste.

Now at the same price i am getting double service with unlimited downloading!!!

I was using Wateen WiMAX 512 kb + 5 GB bandwidth package for about 850.00 Rupees per month

It was a lot of trouble using torrents on Wateen aswell and seriously theres no point in using it with wateen anyways since it is a capped service not unlimited downloading.

Now i am happy (atleast for now) using PTCL Broadband services.

I have also been using wateen wimax and seriously it is getting alot of down-times.

for some-reason they have been blocking alot of websites too.

I am thinking of switching to a different ISP soon too.

i m the user of wateen from last six months and to my horror it is the worst company in pakistan who are not bothered about their services and their customer service people behaves like a bloody inefficient government department who donot care bcoz i my self called countless time and mailed them for more than 30 times but services are poor. noone should think of wasting his money for their connection because they just sell the connections without service and whole month they have problems with their system and signals which never come up so my advise to all new users to go for some other option but dont waste your time and money on wateen moreso im living in big city that is rawalpindi and you can well imagine the state of affairs. no dowloading speed no video streaming most of the time. if some one wants to add his miseries he should try it otherwise learn from my lesson...
